Nearly 200 economists, business leaders, and academics attended the conference from around the world to discuss these important issues. The most important aspect of the conference is that its relevance has only grown. Global and national issues of trade, demonstrations in multiple global capitals regarding democracy and equity along with the challenges of the current trade wars have been forefront in the news. With the launch of the Youtube Channel, the New Enlightenment Conference 2019 in November there are over 10,000 views.

A dynamic range of speakers over three days that covered challenging global issues
The organizers of the conference, The Edinburgh Business School, UC Berkeley, and others focused on Edinburgh, the home of Adam Smith who’s seminal works outlined the fundamentals of capitalism, A Theory of Moral Sentiments and The Wealth of Nations. Our challenge was to shoot multiple sessions in two locations along with interviews at the same time. Having a well-organized video team made all the difference. We actually began work on arrival from the U.S that morning scoping out key locations for set up.
