Branding a Place for Innovation in Berkeley - Helping Position Startups for Growth
UC Berkeley SkyDeck is the key incubator for startups coming out of the engineering school at Cal and the Berkeley Haas School of Business. Positioned in downtown Berkeley near public transit and the main campus, it has become a hub for the East Bay startup community, especially with contributions from other partners and the Berkeley National Lab.
When Radiant stepped in, SkyDeck was in the early stages of fundraising for startup investments. We collaborated on a branding program that included prominent building signage for SkyDeck. After getting the green light for the new branding, we produced two short videos: one narrating SkyDeck's mission and methodology, and another featuring its startups and advisors. These videos premiered at a significant launch event for the SkyDeck Fund, which has since raised over $25 million and gained pledges from founders to reinvest in UC Berkeley as their businesses grow.
